Bihar Range Officer Exam Pattern 2024

Part-I – Written Test

There will be written test of 400 marks. It will divided in to 2 papers. The first paper will be of General Hindi of (100 marks) 50 question each question will carry 2 marks and second paper will of General studies which will be related to General knowledge, Contemporary issues, General science, Civics, Indian history, Indian geography, Mathematics and Mental aptitude test of (300 marks) 100 questions.

• There will be Multiple Type of Questions.
• Duration will be 1 hour (1st paper) and 2 hours (2nd paper).
• There will be Negative marking of 0.2 marks (1st paper) and 0.3 marks (2nd paper) for each wrong answer.
• It will be mandatory to get 30% marks in 1st paper.

Part-II – Interview

There will be Interview of 50 marks. The marks obtained in the Interview will be added to the written test score or final merit list will be prepared based on the sum of both. In the Interview, the overall personality of the candidates, Knowledge of subjects, knowledge of current events, examination of creative and positive qualities will be evaluated and their suitability to work in the Department of Environment, Forest and Climate change.

Part-III – Physical Efficiency Test

There will be Physical efficiency test i.e. Measurement of Height, Weight & Chest as following below.

Height (Male)

1. SC/ ST Category – 152.5 cm.
2. Others Category – 163 cm.

Height (Female)

1. SC/ ST Category – 145 cm.
2. Others Category – 150 cm

Chest (Male)

1. Without Inflated – 79 cm.
2. With Inflated – 84 cm.

Physical Exam

1. Male – Walking 25 km in 04 hours.
2. Female -Walking 14 km in 04 hours.
